Target group:

Any personnel involved with emergency planning, response or recovery efforts where ICS is, or may be, the preferred command system.

Description:

ICS-100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces responders with the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System.

 

After successfully completing this course you should have basic understanding of:

• ICS Applications.

• ICS organizational principles and elements.

• ICS positions and functional responsibilities. 

• ICS facilities and functions.

• The operational and planning process used in ICS.

 

The course structure comprises 7 modules: 

Module 1: Course Overview

Module 2: ICS Overview

Module 3: ICS Features and Principles

Module 4: Incident Commander and Command Staff

Module 5: General Staff and Facilities

Module 6: Unified Command

Module 7: ICS-100 Review
