Course Goal: To increase learners’ awareness of the risks of hand-arm vibration and the effects that it can cause. The course also looks at the control measures that should be taken to reduce exposure to vibration, based on industry best practice.

Who is the course for?

All onshore and offshore personnel that use vibration-inducing equipment.

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

Learning objectives

LO1 Describe hand-arm vibration and the effects it can cause 

LO2 Explain what Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) is and how to identify its early symptoms

LO3 Identify the types of jobs and equipment that are most likely to involve hand-arm vibration and expose workers to the risk of health effects

LO4 Explain the duties of employers under the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations

LO5 Outline the measures that employees can take to reduce the risk of HAVS

LO6 Outline the duties of equipment manufacturers and suppliers in reducing vibration risks

LO7 Describe the process of assessing the vibration risk to employees in accordance with the Exposure Action Value (EAV) and Exposure Limit Value (ELV)

LO8 Describe the control measures that should be taken to reduce exposure to vibration

LO9 Explain the importance of monitoring exposure to vibration, and health surveillance

LO10 Explain the importance of information and training in reducing the risks to health from vibration

Deltakere må ha tilgjengelig PC m/kamera, mikrofon og høyttalere i tillegg til skrivesaker for oppgaveløsing. Ved påmelding mottar deltaker egen informasjon om kurset og lenke til innlogging i TrainingPortal. Her vil det være mulig å laste ned kurskompendium. Dette benyttes for løsning av oppgaver underveis i kurset.

Før webinar mottar hver en lenke med innlogging til forelesingen. Denne gjennomføres i Microsoft Teams.

Hva kreves for å løse ut IGF Advanced sertifikat?

Etter gjennomført kurs må deltaker opptjene nødvendig praksis på et IGF fartøy. Godkjent praksis teller fra de har mottatt sitt IGF Basic sertifikat. I tillegg må de kunne dokumentere minimum 3 bunkringer før de kan søke ut sitt Advanced - sertifikat.

Kurset består av klasseromsundervisning og praktiske oppgaver der hydrauliske vri og strekkverktøy samt momentnøkkel blir gjennomgått.

Kurset avsluttes med en teoretisk og praktisk eksamen med sensor.

E-læringskurset er laget for personell som er involvert i å organisere og/eller utføre:

planlegging, installasjon, inspeksjon og vedlikehold av Ex utstyr.

Kurspakken vil gi deltakerne en innføring og repetisjon av disse temaene i henhold til relevante deler av IEC 60079-standarden. (NEK EN 60079-standarder)

Kurset varer i 5 timer og har en gyldighet på 5 år

E-læringskurset kan også brukes som repetisjon etter 5 år 

Tema:

• Grunnleggende Ex filosofi, repetisjon-Klargjøring og installasjon av elektrisk utstyr i eksplosjonsfarlige områder

• Inspeksjon og vedlikehold av elektrisk utstyr i eksplosjonsfarlige områder

• Kjenne til hva slags vedlikehold som skal gjøres, og hvilke vedlikeholdsoppgaver som må sendes til et autorisert verksted

• Gi CompEx sertifiserings-kandidater den teoretiske opplæringen som er nødvendig for den teoretiske eksamen

Kurset gir en introduksjon i forståelsen av gass i utsatte arbeidssituasjoner. Det beskriver reelle farer og forteller om de mest vanlige gassene. Kurset gir kunnskap om hvordan man kan best beskytte seg selv og andre ved bruk av riktig utstyr, og gir forståelse og kunnskap rundt faremomenter ved arbeid i gassutsatte områder. Brukerne skal kjenne til muligheter og begrensninger ved gassmålingsutstyr i relevante situasjoner.
