The object of this course is to motivate participants to actively contribute to a better and safer working environment. The course emphasises preventative measures that can prevent harm to people, the environment and equipment.

Course Content

After completing the course the students should have acquired basic knowledge of and proficiency in:

- HSE culture

- Prevention of work accidents

- Use of relevant fire fighting and rescue equipment

- Lifesaving first aid

- Collective evacuation aids

- Correct use of rescue suits with breathing apparatus

- Helicopter evacuation (HUET)

The course aims to create positive attitudes to the term HSE culture and an understanding of the importance of the social and physical working environment to life, health and values, both at work and during leisure time.

The course is valid for 48 months.

Hensikten med kurset er å repeter grunnleggende kunnskaper og ferdighet, til utførende ansvarlig person som skal demontere, montere og for spenne bolter i henhold til NS EN 1591-4 kapittel 8

Praktisk informasjon:
Re sertifiseringen er basert på 1 dag og består av klasseromsundervisning og praktiske oppgaver
Kurset avsluttes med en teoretisk og praktisk eksamen med sensor.
Etter man har bestått teoretisk og praktisk eksamen er man sertifisert for nye 5 år men følgende punkter må i varetas for at det skal vare ut 5 års perioden:
- Sertifisert personell skal ikke ha hatt avbrudd i arbeid med bolte arbeid for en periode på over seks måneder.
- Ved utførelse av arbeid på boltede forbindelser, skal det ikke foreligge noen grunn til å stille spørsmål om den faglige kompetansen til sertifisert personell.

Hvis disse vilkårene ikke oppfylles, skal sertifiseringen trekkes tilbake.

1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 og 9.

Course Goal: 

This course provides learners with an awareness of US best practice in relation to working at height and fall protection.

Learning Objectives:

LO1 Identify when fall protection is required

LO2 Identify the legislative and regulatory requirements for fall protection that help to control work at height

LO3 Explain the duties that are placed on employers and employees

LO4 Describe the hazards involved in working at height

LO5 Explain the importance of planning and risk assessment

LO6 Describe the hierarchy of control for managing and selecting fall protection equipment 

LO7 Identify the factors that should be considered when assessing fall protection methods

LO8 Describe the main methods of access for working at height and give examples of the different types of fall protection equipment

LO9 Describe the rules for working with ladders

LO10 Describe the rules for working with scaffolds

LO11 Explain the importance of inspecting equipment

LO12 Explain how to correctly use a safety harness

FSE first aid is a practical course, with a high number of skill training stations. FSE first aid module will Increase knowledge of life-saving first aid.

The course covers the followong subjects: The first assessment, burns and electrical burns, recovery position, the unconsciousness patient, CPR skill training.

Trainee refinery operations technicians.

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.

Is there an assessment?

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

The goal of this course is that all personnel who use hazardous work equipment, will gain good knowledge of HSE when using work equipment. The course deals with personnel requirements, roles and responsibilities, as well as accidents and regulations on safety.

In addition, the course requires that practical training is conducted on applicable work equipment.

The course covers the following topics:

• Work equipment in general

• Use of work equipment

• Selection of work equipment

• Training in the use of work equipment

• Workspaces and personnel requirements

• Risk assessment

• Safety, accidents and liability

• Direct and underlying causes of accidents

• Relevant laws and regulations

The course includes exercises, and final test with 30 questions.
