Multiply choice assessment
This video-based course introduces the operational and marine
considerations, safety hazards, project risks and environmental
considerations involved in disconnecting and removing a Floating Production,
Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility from its offshore location.
Taught using the Western Isles FPSO decommissioning project in UK waters
as a case study, the course builds awareness of mooring line disconnection,
riser and umbilical management, chain cutting, station keeping, tow planning,
vessel selection and recovery operations. It also considers the hazards and
project risks associated with FPSO removal, together with reuse, recycling
and responsible disposal options.
