Professionals and stakeholders involved in planning, estimating, managing or reporting offshore decommissioning projects, including project managers, planners, cost engineers, estimators, commercial and finance teams, engineers, regulatory personnel and supply-chain organisations.

Description:

This module provides an introduction to the Decommissioning Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and its importance in the effective planning and delivery of offshore decommissioning projects. Learners will gain an understanding of the purpose and application of the WBS, including its role in project planning, cost estimating, benchmarking, regulatory reporting, and performance improvement. The module also provides an overview of the 11 key decommissioning elements, enabling learners to describe how a standardised WBS supports consistent project management and decision-making throughout the decommissioning lifecycle.

The objective of this course is to provide learners with an understanding of the Decommissioning Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), enabling them to recognise its purpose, structure, and application in planning, cost estimating, benchmarking and regulatory reporting across all key stages of offshore decommissioning.
