Target group:

Personnel working in or supporting offshore oil and gas decommissioning, including operations, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, process, engineering, project, safety and completions assurance teams. The course is also relevant to contractors and other personnel involved in installation handover, isolation planning or the transition from operations to decommissioning.

Description:

This course introduces the principles and processes of de-energisation as part
of offshore decommissioning. Learners will build awareness of how hazardous
energy sources, including hydrocarbons, mechanical, electrical and radioactive
energy, are identified, isolated or removed to prepare an installation for safe
handover.
The module also enables learners to recognise the role of stored energy
registers, completion assurance packages and critical utility systems in
supporting a safe, controlled and auditable transition from operations to
decommissioning.
