How will this course benefit me?

The course meets the requirements set in § 7 of the ""Safety Regulations for Work and Operation of Electrical Equipment and Installations- FSE"", that relevant personnel shall be given annual training and instruction in FSE. The course also provides the necessary training and instruction in first aid, focusing on electrical injuries, with the exception of the mandatory practical training in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The regulations of various authorities make FSE applicable to all those working with electricity, whether on board ship, on platforms or on land. This course is suitable for all, regardless of which industry you work in. 

The authorities require that training in FSE and first aid in the event of electrical accidents is undertaken at least once a year. No more than 12 months shall elapse between training courses.

The fast track version of the course is suitable for all but is particularly practical for those undertaking refresher training in FSE. 

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

This course is made for personnel who organize or perform: planning, installation, inspection and maintenance of Ex equipment.

The course gives an introduction and repetition in different subjects treated in the IEC 60079 Standard (NEK EN 60079).

The course duration is 5 hours and is valid for 5 years

The course can also be taken as a refresher course for Ex maintenance

This course provides the candidate with a general understanding of the principles of explosion theory, and what measures we put in place to ensure safety. In this course we explain why gases are divided into classes, areas into zones and show you how equipment is designed and marked for use in specific conditions. All to ensure safety and reduce the potential for explosions in gaseous atmospheres.

Section 7 of the “Safety Regulations for Work and Operation of Electrical Equipment and Installations” (FSE) sets requirements for yearly FSE training for relevant personnel. This e-learning course takes you through the requirements of the regulations and gives you training and instruction in FSE. The course focuses on safety for work on low voltage installations offshore.

The course also provides first-aid instruction and training. CPR training must be completed separately.

In accordance with section 7 of FSE, FSE and and first-aid training must be completed at least once a year. In order to meet the requirement for being able to provide first aid in the event of electrical accidents, you also need to complete yearly practical training in CPR (mouth-to-mouth and heart compressions).

This course addresses a variety of issues and covers how to prevent electrical accidents, routines in the event of accidents, and theoretical first aid, and aims to help prevent harm to people, equipment, and installations.

Norske myndigheter pålegger arbeidsgiver å sikre at alle arbeidstakere har fått dokumentert opplæring i betjening av alt arbeidsutstyr som anses som farlig, eller krever særlig forsiktighet ved bruk. («Forskrift om utførelse av arbeid» nr. 1357, § 10-2 Krav om dokumentert sikkerhetsopplæring ved bruk av arbeidsutstyr.) Kurset gir en grunnleggende innføring i sikker bruk av farlig småverktøy som eksempelvis: vinkelslipere, kappsag, boltepistol og spikerpistol. Når kurset er bestått kan man laste ned kursbevis umiddelbart.

Gi kursdeltakerne økt kunnskap og bevisstgjøring av sikkerhetstiltak, for å unngå personskader og ulykker på arbeidsplassen.

The course gives you a basic understanding of the principles of intrinsically safe loops (IS) in potentially explosive areas.

After completing the course, the candidate will have acquired the necessary knowledge about the design of intrinsically safe (IS), choice of equipment, inspection and maintenance in potentially explosive areas.

Our aim is to ensure that the employees are motivated to work safely and securely.

The course lasts 5 hours and the course certificate is valid for 5 years

The e-learning course can also be used as a refresher after 5 years

Themes:

• Understand the general principles for the type of specific protection and correct marking of components approved in intrinsically safe systems (IS)

• Current standard for Exi

• Construction and assessment of intrinsically safe equipment

• Assessment and concrete use of “simple apparatus app”

• Be able to choose and install the correct Exi equipment in hazardous areas according to the standards IEC 60079-14 and 60079-25

• How to work safely with IS

• Competence requirements for performing work on Exi installations

• How to verify and calculate an Exi circuit

• Know where to find and how to read relevant standards, data sheets, product sheets and other relevant literature

It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure the employees have received this training. The course provides basic theoretical knowledge of fall protection measures and equipment.

Objective:
The course gives insights into fall theory and common fall protection methods and equipment. It raises safety awareness and helps prevent accidents and injuries at the workplace.

This course is made for personnel involved in selection, erection, inspection and maintenance of equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres.

The courses give an introduction and repetition in different subjects treated in the relevant IEC 60079 Standards (NEK EN 60079).

This course combines self-study by e-learning and classroom training with demonstrations and examples which is useful when working in explosive atmospheres.

The course is suitable for personnel who should have an introduction in potentially explosive areas, marking, equipment, and requirements.

Participants will be introduced to the relevant parts of the NEK 420, IEC 60079 standard (NEK EN 60079-standards) as well as national adaptations where relevant.
