Learning objectives

- Identify the physical properties of H2S

- Recognise the physiological effects of exposure to varying toxicity levels of H2S

- Recognise the responsibilities and duties of all personnel and their duties under current legislation

- Recognise the current legal occupational exposure limits for short- and long-term exposure periods relating to H2S

- Identify the various methods for detecting H2S

- Identify the various personal and respiratory protection equipment required for undertaking tasks in areas where H2S may be present

Course Goal:

This course aims to provide personnel with an awareness of US best practice in relation to noise and hearing conservation in the workplace.

LO1 Describe noise-induced hearing loss, and identify the early warning signs and symptoms to look for

LO2 Explain the workings of the human ear, how noise exposure causes damage, and the effects of such damage

LO3 Explain the responsibilities and duties of employers and individual personnel under current legislation

I kurset gis det en oversikt over lover og regler som er knyttet til fallsikring. Det snakkes også om passivt og aktivt fallsikringsutstyr og om førstehjelp ved fall. Kursets hensikt er å sørge for at kursdeltakerne vedlikeholder og oppdaterer sine kunnskaper innen grunnleggende sikkerhet- og beredskap.

Ved fullført kurs, skal deltakerne ha vedlikeholdt og oppdatert kunnskaper og ferdigheter om:

- Bruk av håndslukker

- Livreddende førstehjelp

- Bruk av redningsstrømpe

Etter sammenslåingen ble det faglige grunnlaget i selskapet ytterligere styrket og porteføljen utvidet med enda flere tjenester til offshore-bransjen. Til sammen utfører selskapet over 100.000 analyser av drikkevann hvert år.

NYTT I VERSJON 5.0

- På samme måte som Covid-19-viruset får den dødelige dusj-bakterien Legionella stadig økt fokus offshore pga fare for smitteutbrudd. Kurset er derfor ytterligere utvidet ift Legionella.

- Kurset er nå også oppdatert ift nye anbefalinger på årlig prøvetaking. Endringer som bl.a. kan gi lavere analyse-kostnader.

- Denne versjonen er i tillegg oppdatert ihht siste gjeldende regelverk, blant annet med viktig endring ift ansvarlig myndighet for kontroll av drikkevann offshore.
