Kotter's 8-Step Change Model was created by Harvard University Professor, John Kotter. He perceived the change process as having 8 essential steps.

The 8 Essential Steps in this model are:

Create a sense of urgency for change

Build a coalition for change Form a vision for change 

Communicate the vision for change 

Remove barriers to change 

Generate quick wins for the change 

Stay persistent with the change 

Make the change permanent
