This course aims to enhance the capabilities of shipboard personnel who sail on ships using LFF (low flashpoint fuel) as propulsion energy. It focuses on the responsibilities of all personnel serving on these kinds of ships. The course is developed in accordance with IMO model course 7:13.
1st January 2017 the IGF Code was made mandatory and STCW now includes new minimum requirements for the training and qualifications of personnel on ships subject to the IGF Code. This training program has been approved by the Norwegian Maritime Authority. The training consists of an e-learning course, practical assessment at a facility center and a classroom exam. When the training is completed a course diploma is issued.
The practical training takes place at facilities located in various parts of Norway and abroad. Please choose the most convenient training for yourself or your employees. IGF Advanced Webinar
Lectures will be presented remotely. Participants need a PC/tablet with camera, mic, speaker, pen and paper for the lectures. After enrolment, participant will receive a personal information about the course and code for "log in" to Mintra TrainingPortal. Compendiums for use in the course can be downloaded from TrainingPortal. A personal code for joining the webinar will be sent by Mail.
Mandatory requirements for personal COP IGF Advanced:
After fulfilling the lectures (Remotely), participants will need sailing experience (PA) on an IGF vessel and documentation of 3 bunkering’s. The object of this course is to motivate participants to actively contribute to a better and safer working environment. The course emphasises preventative measures that can prevent harm to people, the environment and equipment.
Course Content
After completing the course the students should have acquired basic knowledge of and proficiency in:
- HSE culture
- Prevention of work accidents
- Use of relevant fire fighting and rescue equipment
- Lifesaving first aid
- Collective evacuation aids
- Correct use of rescue suits with breathing apparatus
- Helicopter evacuation (HUET)
The course aims to create positive attitudes to the term HSE culture and an understanding of the importance of the social and physical working environment to life, health and values, both at work and during leisure time.
The course is valid for 48 months.
This course combines self-study by e-learning and classroom training with demonstrations and examples which is useful when working in explosive atmospheres.
This course is made for personnel involved in selection, erection, inspection and maintenance of equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres.
The courses give an introduction and repetition in different subjects treated in the relevant IEC 60079 Standards (NEK EN 60079).
The course is suitable for personnel who should have an introduction in potentially explosive areas, marking, equipment, and requirements.
Participants will be introduced to the relevant parts of the NEK 420, IEC 60079 standard (NEK EN 60079-standards) as well as national adaptations where relevant.
The concept intrinsic safety is unlike the other Ex protection concepts as it is a system concept. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the system as a whole, how the environment and individual components affect the system to maintain the integrity of the intrinsically safe system.
