The OPITO approved LOLER Competent Person assessment is aimed at personnel who are, or will be, planning and approving lifting operations in the workplace and ensuring that the lifting operations are conducted in compliance with Legislative requirements and company procedures. The OPITO LCP standard requires that candidates undergoing the assessment process must be Company sponsored and have suitable levels of relevant experience.Description:
The aims and objectives of the assessment are to ensure that the LCP has the required level of underpinning knowledge and operational experience to prepare suitable and sufficient lifting plans and risk assessments for lifting operations. This also involves the selection of appropriate lifting equipment, determining suitable levels of supervision and personnel requirements for lifting operations and ability to manage the content of the rigging loft or other lifting equipment / accessories, The ability to demonstrate knowledge and practical skills in the following topics:Unit 1: Regulations, procedures, assessment and competence:
