Target group:

Those required to access Hub and Yaw sections of wind turbine generators (WTG) and how to rescue a casualty from these areas

Description:

On successful completion of training the delegate will be deemed to have demonstrated individually and as part of a team, practical skills and the competence in:

Selecting and preparing the appropriate tools and equipment and checking they are in a safe and usable condition
Casualty preparation procedures for casualties with a range of injuries
Casualty evacuation procedures
Correct use of communication channels, Wind Turbines – Hubs
Rescue Equipment
Dynamic Risk Assessment
Practical Exercise – Pre-Use checks of Rescue Equipment/ Use of Rescue Equipment
Practical Exercise - The movement of the casualty from a hub to a nacelle (up rescue)
Practical Exercise - Lowering of a casualty to the ground
Knowledge Assessment
