No previous experience is required to complete this course.

This course does not refer to specific legislation or standards.

Is there an assessment?

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 70%.

Who is this course for?
All personnel who are at risk for being exposed to benzene.

Is previous experience required?
You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course.

How will this course benefit me?
This course aims to provide learners with an awareness of benzene and provide best practice for work with benzene in oil and gas producing facilities.

How will this course benefit my company?
By ensuring you are aware of the impacts of benzene and familiar with best practice for work with benzene.

Is there an assessment?
Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

STCW Training programme for courses approved by the Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA).

This training programme consists of three elements:

• This eLearning module (ETC: 45 minutes)

• Practical training onboard (ETC: 3 hours), and

• The final exam (ETC: 15 minutes)

Who is this course for:
Any crew onboard without designated security duties.

No previous experience is required to complete this course.

How will this course benefit me?
By ensuring that you have achieved the training requirements set out by the STCW Code.  This course will ensure that you are certified according to STCW A-VI/6-1.

By ensuring you have the knowledge and are certified according to the STCW regulations.

What standards are referred to in this course?
STCW - Security Awareness, table A-VI/6-1

Is there an assessment?
The exam includes questions on the theory aspects covered during the initial eLearning AND the activities completed during the onboard assessment. You should not attempt the exam until you have completed both aspects of the training.

Certificate:

When the training is completed a certificate is issued by the Norwegian Maritime Authority.

The Norwegian Maritime Authority charge an additional fee to issue the formal STCW Certificate.

This course will provide personnel with a basic overview of industry best practice in relation to safety in welding operations.

• The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS)

• IMO MSC/Circular 1084 Principles for Hot Work on board all Types of Ships

All personnel who require  knowledge and/or refreshed on IMO Codes and their application.

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course.

This course gives the learner the basic understanding and awareness of the maritime industry’s core conventions and codes as they apply to safety and pollution prevention

By ensuring you have a basic understanding and awareness of the maritime industry’s core conventions and codes as they apply to safety and pollution prevention.

What standards are referred to in this course?

Overview of the IMO Conventions; STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, BALLAST WATER, COLREG, ILO AND MLC
