The course provides training in the understanding and interpretation of HSE Regulations related to ‘drilling and wells’ on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, as stipulated by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA).
The course focuses on a number of key elements including the design of drilling facilities, well construction, drilling operations and maintenance.
Historically, ‘drilling and wells’ has always been a focus area for the Norwegian Authorities. This is mainly due to the challenges within safety, working environment and man/machine interface, but also where the potential for large-scale accidents is present. This course will provide the participant with the necessary competency levels to meet PSA’s HSE Regulations for ‘drilling and wells’.
In addition, the course will also aim to provide a more "practical" overview on how the functional requirements can be achieved in "real life" situations; with particular focus on design, planning and execution of well operations.
The course can be tailor made for individual company’s requirements and be held at the company’s own premises.
