About PSK
The Centre for Quality Control and Competence in the Petroleum Industry (PSK) is responsible for quality controlling courses and course providers for the oil and gas industry.

PSK’s objective is to assure the quality of approved training offers, so course participants and employers are certain that training follows a specified curriculum and meets mandatory quality requirements.  PSK is responsible for all training that the industry wants to quality control, but falls outside official regulations.

PSK has a search service that allows you to search for approved courses and course providers.  PSK is also responsible for the industry’s common competence register.  The competence register provides an overview of all completed training, provided by PSK approved course providers.

In the competence register, personnel can maintain an overview of their own competence and employers can maintain an overview of the competence of all personnel employed by the organisation.

PSK is owned by The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO), Industry Energy, SAFE, DSO, and Fellesforbundet (A confederation of trade unions affiliated with LO), together with the employer organisations, OLF, The Federation of Norwegian Industries, and The Norwegian Shipowners’ Association.
