The interactive e-learning program, “Downhole Mechanisms and Operational Practice”, can be used both as a job-support tool/reference work and as an e-learning course for good downhole practices. The object of the learning program is to increase knowledge and competence for personnel involved in downhole operations, and to develop positive attitudes toward following best practices, so we can reduce/avoid unwanted incidents related to drilling and downhole operations, including technical sidetracks.
The objective with the e-learning course is to give the target group a fundamental understanding of the construction of the most common valve types and tightening technique as well as operational considerations. 3D-visualisations are employed to illustrate construction, tightening techique and operation.
3D-visualisations are employed to give the target group a fundamental understanding of working with flange.
The course modules form the basis for a best practice database for work on hydrocarbon-conducting pipes.
